1. Staff.: Our highly qualified staff are our most important resource. Their expertise, along with a love of children, make them second to none. It is Explore & Develop's stated aim to maintain a happy and resourceful working environment for our staff, with on-going training and development.
2. Education.: With teachers that are up-to-date with all the latest and most advanced educational methods, we are able to provide the best and most welcoming of surroundings so you can be assured of a nurturing and loving environment where your child will have fun and excel!
3. Ratios.: We will always provide staffing ratios that meet regulatory requirements however at times you will see that we offer additional staff to maximize care ratios.
4. Programming.: Staff plan experiences for children based on many factors. Theoretical knowledge of child development, experience gained from working with young children, the centre philosophy and goals as well as observations made of the children in the centre setting.; In addition, knowledge of children's home backgrounds, including parental expectations, family structures and individual cultures.; We provide a busy, active programme where key areas of learning and development are incorporated. These include creative arts, music and movement, language skills, problem solving with maths and science, literacy, dramatic play, health and safety.
5. Costs.: At Explore & Develop our main concern is NOT keeping costs down. We measure success in low turnover of staff and full provision for the needs of your children.
6. Family.: We encourage a family atmosphere and welcome parental input. Parents are encouraged to join in on our daily routine or to contribute ideas to the Centre.
7. Cultural awareness.: We actively promote learning about different countries, cultures and languages. We invite family members from different backgrounds to speak to the children about where they are from and show photographs, artifacts and traditional dress.
8. Exercise.: It is important that children have an outlet for their energy. Therefore all our centres have specially designed outdoor areas with facilities such as trampolines, sand pits and cubby houses that are safe for energetic play.
9. Management.: Having the owner of the centre on-site means that you can enjoy access to Management at all times. Staff needs can be met immediately with direct access to their employer. This all contributes to the smooth running of our centres and your child's day.
10. Meals.: The food we provide is prepared by chefs specially trained in child nutrition, ensuring meals are well balanced with all the essential vitamins and nutrients children need for an active, fun-filled day.
